Flux - Bubble Models and Mesonic Molecules
نویسنده
چکیده
It has been shown that the string-flip potential model reproduces most of the bulk properties of nuclear matter, with the exception of nuclear binding. Furthermore, it was postulated that this model with the inclusion of the colour-hyperfine interaction should produce binding. In some recent work a modified version of the string-flip potential model was developed, called the flux-bubble model, which would allow for the addition of perturbative QCD interactions. In attempts to construct a simple q ¯ q nucleon system using the flux-bubble model (which only included colour-Coulomb interactions) difficulties arise with trying to construct a many-body variational wave function that would take into account the locality of the flux-bubble interactions. In this paper we look at a toy system, a mesonic molecule, in order to understand these difficulties. En route, a new variational wave function is proposed that may have a sufficient impact on the old string-flip potential model results that the inclusion of perturbative effects may not be needed.

متن کاملThe Effect of Bubble Surface Area Flux on Flotation Efficiency of Pyrite Particles
In this research, the effect of bubble surface area flux, Sb, and particle size on flotation rate constant, k, of pyrite (FeS2) particles was studied using bubble-particle interactions. The bubble-particle collision, attachment and detachment efficiencies were calculated under different flow regimes. The k increased with increase in the collision efficiency and decreas...

The work in this thesis consists of two distinct parts: A class of models called, “String-flip potential models,” (SFP’s) are studied as a possible candidate for modeling nuclear matter in terms of constituent quarks. These models are inspired from lattice quantum-chromodynamics (QCD) and are nonperturbative in nature. It is shown that they are viable candidates for modeling nuclear matter sinc...
متن کاملBrane/Flux Annihilation and the String Dual of a Non-Supersymmetric Field Theory
We consider the dynamics of p anti-D3 branes inside the Klebanov-Strassler geometry, the deformed conifold with M units of RR 3-form flux around the S. We find that for p << M the system relaxes to a nonsupersymmetric NS 5-brane “giant graviton” configuration, which is classically stable, but quantum mechanically can tunnel to a nearby supersymmetric vacuum with M − p D3 branes. This decay mode...
متن کاملPrediction of Bubble Point Pressure & Asphaltene Onset Pressure During CO2 Injection Using ANN & ANFIS Models
Although CO2 injection is one of the most common methods in enhanced oil recovery, it could alter fluid properties of oil and cause some problems such as asphaltene precipitation. The maximum amount of asphaltene precipitation occurs near the fluid pressure and concentration saturation. According to the description of asphaltene deposition onset, the bubble point pressure has a very special imp...
